How does Cosmos Organic certification work?
Ingredients and Formula
Checking of ingredients and raw materials, and formula validation.
Cosmos verifies the percentage of organic and natural ingredients stated on the label.
Packaging
Cosmos analyses the type and raw material used for packaging. It must contain no PVC or Polystyrene and must be made of recyclable material.
Inspection, Certification and Control
Samples taken at production sites are analysed to establish whether cleanliness, hygiene and traceability of components are guaranteed in the manufacturing process, and that there is no contamination between organic and non-organic ingredients.
Certificate
Once compliance with all regulations is confirmed, the Cosmos Organic certificate is issued. The label carries the Cosmos Organic logo and the percentage of organic ingredients relative to the total.
